It lives on streets and sidewalks and thoroughfares, in those unscheduled and unfiltered transitory moments that come to define our everyday.
We set off for some Cascadia field testing in the City of Angels with renowned photographer Brian Vernor, looking to capture a hidden essence beyond neatly-packaged frames of skyscrapers and swaying palms, tiny dogs and fair trade coffee shops; the real LA, not the “La-la land” of popular imagination, but the raw and inimitable urban aesthetic that we strive to channel and understand. Angeleno style — simultaneously rugged and clean-cut, unabashedly artistic yet entirely unpretentious — dwells outside the deliberate and polished cultural exhibitions of Hollywood, outside of mass appeal. It lives on streets and sidewalks and thoroughfares, in those unscheduled and unfiltered transitory moments that come to define our everyday. Style is less about the destination, more about the journey: whether it’s to the market or the beach, the office or the mountains, we hope to be a part of yours.
